Apple made it clear that the section of the design did not need compromising performance: your Mac Pro second generation launched in late 2013 was exciting and equipment with a striking appearance thanks to that box in cylindrical format.
There have been attempts to emulate that design by various manufacturers, and that is the case Cryorig, which has developed its cylindrical box “Wave” in mini-ITX format in which it is possible to integrate graphics dedicated full size. If you want to mount a Hackintosh (or a Windows – based PC) with this amazing format, you can do it in a few months.
Still we have to wait
Those responsible for Cryorig announced this box model next June during Computex, and in that event take the opportunity to talk about some of its advantages, as such support dedicated graphics that will integrate for example one of the upcoming NVIDIA GTX 1080 but also its fan 140 mm from the top to cool the equipment.
The design limits some sections like overclocking, because with that peculiar space using fans for processors is prevented beyond 82 mm. The power supply will also have to be a maximum of 600W to avoid overheating and jeopardize computer components.
Still with these width 226 mm, 378.5 mm high and 205 mm deep bays offers two SSDs and another for a hard drive. The bad news is that we still have to wait a few months to launch: until next year will not be available, nor indicated virtually on the price, which in Cryorig claim to be “reasonable”.
